size guide
1. Using an existing ring
a) Measure the Diameter
-
Place a well-fitting ring on a ruler & measure the inside diameter in millimeters.
-
Compare the value with a ring size chart (e.g., 16.5 mm ≈ size 52 EU).
b) use an app
2. Without a Ring
a) Paper or String Method
-
Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.
-
Wrap it around the finger where the ring will be worn.
-
Mark the point where the ends meet.
-
Measure the length in millimeters → this is your finger circumference.
-
The circumference in mm roughly equals the EU ring size
(e.g., 54 mm circumference ≈ EU size 54).
b) Use a Multisizer
A multisizer is a small plastic measuring tool made for ring sizing.
It’s inexpensive and very accurate.
3. At a Jeweler
The most reliable method: a jeweler can measure your finger using professional ring gauges or a ring mandrel—usually free of charge.
Tips for accurate Measuring
- measure in the afternoon or evening (fingers are slightly larger)
- make sure your hands are warm, not cold
- check both hands—sizes may differ
- wide rings often require ½–1 size larger
- write down your size and the exact finger and hand (example: 60 mm, thumb, right hand)
